Read the rules, manage risk, be conservative, and follow your plan.

I use only FTMO and my live account, so I can’t comment about others.

Exactly. A lot of them are scams disguised as respectable businesses.

The best thing to do is research them properly before doing anything else.

It’s very easy to start one. I know someone who did, and it was a scammy one.

That the rules are in place to protect you and showcase consistency. Why pay for an account if you’re going to blame all of your problems on the rules being too strict or whatever?

Prop firms want you to fail so you will get another account.

It is not easy; there’s a lot of scammers out there and manipulation to grab your money. Discipline is key to pass the legit ones. It also helps to know the spreads so you can trade accordingly. Also, if you are a beginner in trading, you should not be looking to trade prop firms yet, as it takes psychology, confidence, risk management, and patience—all things that are improved as you gain experience over time. You should be back testing and trading on demos.
