As anyone ever checked EasyMarkets?
They have the weirdest features.
So first they have a “Freeze” feature. Basically you can “freeze” the price for 3 seconds and decide to trade or not. I imagine this could be interesting for news trading. Is there a catch? No idea. It might be expensive though. They also mostly deal with fixed spreads (in-house platform and MT4 but MT5 is variable). Does that mean fixed during news? Could be worth looking at.
Then another weird feature is that you can buy a “deal cancellation” insurance of some sort. For any trade, you can activate a shield and if your trade goes to shit, you can simply cancel it like you never traded for 1, 3 or 6 hours, minus the fee… Again I haven’t done the math but that seems too good to be true. However, they aren’t a br0ker from nowhere. They’ve been around since 2001! Regulated by CySec, ASIC (Australia), FSCA (South Africa) and other lower tier regulators such as Seychelles or British Virgin Islands.
As anyone ever tried them? They certainly have unique features I’ve never seen anywhere else. I might try to fiddle around with a demo account.
@Finch
Willing to look into it? Going into the new year I’m looking at ways to get the best of the market. Obviously there’s going to be a crazy catch somewhere but we might still be able to be profitable.
@Whitney
Yeah I might do demo. From what I can gather it might be possible to take advantage of it but you need a huge movement in the market to make the fee back. So you need a big surprise news release. They also advertise fixed spreads and guaranteed SL lol.
Both features are paid as far as I remember, so it’s just a matter of finding situations when the gain outweighs the cost. Then again, most traders believe that they are right in their judgments anyway, so why would pay when they could save on those fees? Deal cancellation insurance is basically just a form of stop-loss. Sometimes, it could probably be cheaper than the actual stop-loss, sometimes more expensive.
If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. But they did say in 2025 they’re releasing their market rewind tool so you’ll be able to reverse the price for only 2 seconds /s.
