Struggling with Consistency......How Long Until You Found Success?

I’m at my wit’s end here. I’ve just blown my 4th funded account in the last two months. I’m planning to go back to trading on a demo account for a while, but honestly, it’s been two years of making literally no money and I’m feeling utterly defeated.

I’ve had periods where I’ve been incredibly disciplined, sticking to my plan and managing my trades well. But then something always happens—missing out on multiple great setups in a single day, or making a silly mistake like entering a trade on the wrong pair…that just throws me off track and leads to a blown account.

I know it’s not uncommon to face setbacks, but I’m really struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. How long did it take for you to get to a point where you were consistently profitable?

If you think your mindset is a problem, work on it. Most of the time, the chances of a price going up or down ten ticks are pretty much 50/50, so ideally, everyone trading should end up around the same spot financially. When you look closely at people who keep blowing their accounts, you’ll quickly see it’s mostly due to emotions and lack of discipline. Keep working hard, and don’t give up. The only way you truly fail is by quitting.

Your problem isn’t trading skills, it’s psychological. You should seek help with changing your mindset.

I feel like I’m starting to to become profitable. It’s been almost 8 years of trying and £30,000 lost in the process. This month is looking like it might be my first profitable month.

I’ve been in the depths of despair so I know what yours going through. I can’t tell you whether you should continue or not as I don’t know you or your circumstances but it’s been the most difficult thing I’ve ever attempted. I’m not sure I would do it again if I could turn back time. I guess it depends how strong the dream is.

Takes time mate. Stop focusing on how long it takes and focus on the process and improvement. It will come

I’d suggest taking a break from trading. It can help clear your head and manage your emotions. When you return to demo trading, you’ll be better prepared to handle the situation.

4 blown accounts? How do you manage to blow so many? I’m handling 3 funded accounts myself and just joined a free challenge from Funded Pips that a friend told me about. I went from 30,000th to 700th place in under 2.5 hours. Trading can feel easy once it finally clicks.

Looks like the setting of max daily loss is the answer, based on OP comments. Also, a weekly max loss would be a good idea too…
