FTMO or The5ers? Personal experiences?

I’m trying to decide which one to go with.
The5rs profit targets of the High Stakes program are 2% easier to reach.

Can anybody compare both from personal experience? Why would/did you pick one over the other?

It appears this thread is about Prop Firms and Scouting Programs. A detailed overview and comparison of popular forex prop firms can be found here.

Both of them are okay. I’ve had a couple of FTMO funded accounts myself and some failed 5ers challenges. I’d say the biggest difference is how they payout. FTMO can pay directly to your bank account while 5ers requires you to withdraw to Wise, I think? They introduced a Visa card but I don’t have much knowledge on that. When it comes to trading, the biggest difference is the spread. The spread at 5ers is almost non-existent.

Thank you, good points.

@Hadi
Hey, thanks for the info! Do you know about commissions with 5ers? I’m looking to buy a 5k High Stakes challenge with them. Thanks again!

@Hadi
5ers pay through Rise now. Crypto too. They stopped using Wise about 6 months ago.

Spreads are better on 5ers.

5ers is cheaper and has smaller starting accounts as well.

Both are pretty good, I must say. Funded by both and never had any issues.

  • Payouts on time.
  • Won’t get any odd messages that you have broken a rule.
  • 5%ers sends you a notice via email if you are close to breaking a rule.
  • I’d say start with 5ers, then grow to FTMO.

Both are good prop firms, and the difference is that 5ers have tight spreads plus they are cheaper.

Both are great. Never had problems. All payouts are always within 2 days.

I’ve never used 5ers before.
I’ve only ever known of FTMO. Failed a couple of their evaluations and started looking into other prop firms.

Passed 2 different prop firms. Got accounts. Both of them tanked.

I now have a funded account with FTMO and they are the only ones I really trust.

Are these available to US traders still? I’ve been out since the big fallout and regulations. Hating that I’ve taken such a break; I used to really enjoy trading and making pocket change.

I’m US-based. I just looked into both today, and neither are available to US traders unfortunately.

Both are best; both are Meta Quote licensed firms with the best track record.
