Did mt4 and mt5 get banned in the US?

I have been hearing conflicting reports about whether MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) have been prohibited in the United States. From what I gather, there have been some regulatory concerns and constraints, particularly for prop trading businesses that use these platforms. I also heard that these apps were deleted from the Apple App Store.

Can somebody share further information or clarify the present situation surrounding the availability and use of MT4 and MT5 in the United States? Are traders turning to alternatives as a result of these changes?

Yes, Due to claims that scammers using the two MetaTrader applications were using them to defraud US residents and citizens, Apple’s App Store banned them in 2022.
