I’d call that the weirdest uptrend I’ve ever seen!
Nope not a liquidity sweep. Liquidity sweeps aren’t real
A liquidity sweep happens when the price drops below a previous low, clearing out sell orders and then using those to fill large buy orders, which makes the price surge up. So, it’s sort of a real thing… but who knows for sure.
Exactly. There’s no such thing as a “sweep” by an outside actor. Yes, the price might move to hit a bunch of stop losses or opposing trades, but that’s just normal market behavior. Calling it a sweep suggests some kind of conspiracy. Instead, just look at the chart to see where people likely have their trades set and use that information.
Yeah it sweep it, zoom it and you can see it. And don’t forget that price action is different from broker to broker
Yes that is a liquidity sweep. Followed by an IFVG (Imbalance Fair Value Gap) that you’ve marked up. This would be a solid setup if it were coming off a fair value gap on a higher timeframe (15m/1h/4h).
I think it has to go slightly lower for it to be considered a sweep. I could be wrong tho
