When is it safe to go back to trading?

I’m really frustrated with the volatile markets this January and December. I’m tired of losing money every month due to Trump’s price spikes. When will the markets calm down and trade normally? When are you all going back to trading?

These are exciting times in the markets, with most pairs in aggressive trends. The news is unpredictable, and next week should be a bit calmer. I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to trade right now because of inflation and Trump’s tariffs.

@North
I know the 99% of traders who fail are trading during these times. I’m just not good enough to make money during this volatile time. I’m thinking of taking a break until things calm down.

I’m not sure I agree with you. The 99% of traders who fail are not necessarily trading during these times. I think it’s because they’re not adapting their strategies to the changing market conditions. Maybe you should try to adjust your strategy and see if it works better for you.

@Eden
I think you’re right. Maybe I should adjust my strategy to account for the higher volatility. And maybe I should be more careful with my stops and let my trades breathe a bit.

I don’t know what’s going on. Markets seem normal to me.

It’s like 2019-2020 all over again.

I’m taking a break to see how the tariffs settle out. I was doing well this month, but I lost 80% of my profits thinking Trump would soften up his stance on tariffs. Now I’m not sure what to do.

Nothing has changed for me and my strategy. It still works the same.

I’m losing money, so I’m going to keep trading.

I was losing money before, and I’m still losing now. Did something change?

I realized that trading is a waiting game. That’s why I took a break and now I’m doing better.
