Hello traders! What are your goals in 2025? Mine is to pass my last FTMO challenge, which I hope I’ll achieve before next year, and from 2025 I want to become consistently profitable, aiming to achieve a 2-4% return monthly and hopefully become really good so that I can leave my day job.
I am thinking of raking in a 108% return next year.

Hopefully, it works out.
Average of 9% return a month.
Here’s a depressing answer… the same goals as it were in 2018… still not achieved yet. I target it every year… to attain consistency in profitability.

Hopefully you’ll get there, don’t give up.

Don’t feel bad man, I’ve been in Forex over 15 years and it’s easy for me to lose money… too easy. My progression was lose, lose, lose, then lose, win, lose, then breaking even for a long time.
Have you backtested your strategy well enough to make sure the math in it actually works? If your strategy backtests well but you’re still losing, then it’s probably a game of emotions. Backtesting is instant, whereas real life isn’t… impatience, fear, etc.
Also, if you’re scalping, make sure you backtest with the spread taken into account.
Anywho, if your strategy backtests well… you’ll get there man. Just keep the positive vibes going.
Those are sound goals. Wish you the best.
Stick to your system and risk plan, and nothing is impossible!
My goals are the same as this year: a 20% gain. This year, I’m a bit short but that’s okay.

Thanks for the response. Good luck!
To be funded with 10 different firms. Let’s see how it goes and if others pay as well as FTMO and 5ers.

Mine is to finish an app I’m working on that manages my risk for me.
Lose less money than last year would be nice.
Double or triple portfolio & 35% return in prop accounts.
So you want to pass an FTMO challenge before you are trying to become consistently profitable? Did I read that right?

I was unprofitable for a year before even applying for the challenge, but during the challenge, I found a strategy that is great for me and I’m doing pretty well at it. I know it sounds unusual, but I believe in my strategy, my risk management, psychology, and myself. Even after I become funded, I will definitely not leave my current full-time job immediately; I’ll give it some time, but I want to leave before the end of next year for sure as my goal
Have a 6-figure month.
