I’m new to trading—just started yesterday—and I bought the FTMO challenge. However, I’ve run into an issue:
The platform now says: “Maximum loss and maximum daily loss have been violated. Please contact us at support@ftmo.com.”
The strange part is that I can still trade on MetaTrader 4. My account balance shows €10,773.70, meaning I’ve made a €773.70 profit. I have no idea where the supposed €1,000 loss came from.
On a separate note, I’m also dealing with a frustrating issue with CarPlay. My phone attempts to connect but never actually opens CarPlay. I’ve tested with three different cords, so it’s not a cable issue. The USB port powers my phone—it charges and tries to connect—but CarPlay just won’t work.
I’ve scheduled an appointment with Ford next week, so I’ll eventually get some answers, but I’m nervous about how much it might cost to fix this.
Any insights on either of these issues would be greatly appreciated

You’re working with an equity base so it looks like you hit drawdown before making a profit. 10 lots is way too high for a 10k prop challenge.
Did you burn the account first by hitting the drawdown/daily drawdown limit and then make some profits?
From what I can see, you have no money management or risk management. You just open lots without knowing what it means. Do you at least use a stop loss?
Maybe try trading for more than just one day before paying for the FTMO challenge? Trading isn’t just easy money, you’ll see what I mean soon enough.

Yeah you’re right, but can I still finish the challenge?
Once you break the rules, you lose the account. I don’t get why there’s a “contact us” option, but if you hit the daily loss or maximum loss, that’s the end.
Maybe get in touch with them since they encourage you to do so. Take a screenshot of the message and send it to them, explaining you are in profit. They can help clarify things if needed.
Honestly, you shouldn’t even be attempting the FTMO challenge at this point. Maybe in a couple of years if you get serious, but right now you’re just throwing money away. How can you go from 1 lot to 10? Do you even have a strategy or risk management plan? It seems like you’re just jumping in blind because of all the hype.
