This is the Worst, usually used to be the liquidity, hit SL and come back, but this at a EU pair, that too at London Session Is heart breaking. Using the 5%ers prop firm, in verification phase

Lmao I feel you, when SL doesn’t hit on your chart but it hits on your broker because of spreads.

Yeah :joy:

This would make me reassess whether my stop loss was too small (especially considering this looks like a M5 timeframe trade).
I would go through all of my prior trades in my spreadsheet to see if increasing the stop size a little more might yield a better outcome. But given that you’re posting this, I assume you’re at the phase in your journey where you aren’t quite fully spreadsheeting your trades and analyzing them properly.
So start spreadsheeting trades and rectify this if it needs rectifying.

@Quin

No mate, I told you hit SL due to spread and then went to hit TP.

There’s an important lesson here: that’s where you put your sell, not your stop. That or you put it below the liquidity block for breakouts.

If you check the BOS area, my SL was way above the top.

@Cedar
Bingo, you were outside of the liquidity which is why the spread got you.
You see all those wicks? That’s your giveaway.

That’s weird because they mostly have 0 spread on EUR/USD.

Exactly.

Weird, in XAU they have amazing spreads…don’t know about EUR…but consider the fact that TradingView chart is different anyway…
