Should I stop Trading?

First week I started operations with lots disproportionate to my bankroll, stop very short and poorly positioned. I adjusted, second week I was greedy in 1 trade and went back to negative, third week I made a beginner’s mistake and missed the trade lot and broke the bank. After all, I feel that I managed to make all the mistakes and feelings happen in a short period.

With $600 balance you should lose $12 per trade with good risk management, so if you can’t follow risk management then you should stop.

Hey, could you tell me how you came up with that number?

@Jan
2% from your capital is the max amount in day trading.

How about with swing trading?

@Nathanael
I’m currently on FTMO with a 10k and just trying to gauge. Thanks.

Agree with this. Risk management should be considered before you enter a trade. To add on, it takes a long time to refine a strategy. Any trader can protect themselves from blowing an account by switching to a demo account while the strategy and risk management are being perfected.

I understand about the bank %, but as I said, I was very confident and using lots that used a lot of margin, lack of total management; now I have adjusted everything to return being disciplined.

If losing 500 bucks scares you, yes, get out.
